Our Purpose

When someone joins the Dark Wolf Pack, I think there is something that they are searching for. Somewhere, deep in all of us, we are wanting a place of acceptance. When the world gets chaotic and our life seems too complicated, all we want is to settle down, relax, take a load off of our minds.

The Dark Wolf Pack was not only created for the purpose of wolves but to be a place where "wolves" can feel accepted. We want to teach our wolves what has been lost long ago: that nature and life should be respected as well as each other; the balance of life can be restored through our actions; that loneliness can no longer be an issue as long as we stand together. In our hearts, we each are a wolf who longs for freedom. But there are times in our life where we have forgotten that wolf or we've felt like we've been forgotten. That is the purpose of our pack. To remind these things and make a home. Maybe your encounter here is mere coincidence or something more. Whether you are staying or just passing through, we hope you find what you are looking for.

A Brief History

DWP was founded by Dark Rain in 2006. From it's very beginning, she dedicated herself to the pack and all it stood for. As it grew, so did the bonds within the pack. It wasn't long before we became more than just a forum- We were a closely knit group of friends that soon grew to be more of a family.

We've been through some tough times together. There have been multiple times that our strength as a pack has been tested. We've lost a few members, and gained a few new ones. To this day, we're still standing strong.

We definitely have our share of good memories too. Contests, roleplays, and many conversations about anything and everything. (Including Wrath's plans for world domination! Hehe!) You see, we're not always so serious, many of us are quite silly sometimes. It's just part of the atmosphere. =D What's life if you can't laugh a little, sometimes?

Anyway, recently Dark Rain decided to step down from her position as leader, and I was chosen as the new Alpha Female. I hope my time in this position will be marked with plenty more good times, and I'd love to see some new members interested in the pack. So wether it's just visiting, or staying for good, know that you are welcomed by the pack with open paws.

What We Offer

***The Howl: The Howl is our forum, where we keep in touch with one another. It is home to our roleplays, poetry and art, events, ideas, and a majority of our conversations.

***The Clearing: This is the name of our very own chatroom. It is intended not only for chatting, but for live roleplaying as well. When multiple people are online, they can meet in the Clearing for a roleplay or simply to just "hang out". Even if you are not a member, you're welcome to pop in and say hello if anyone's there. (As long as you stick to the rules, of course. ;P)

***RolePlaying: This is pretty much self explanatory. There are specific boards for roleplaying on the forum. They are used for the long RPs with plots. There is a regular wolf roleplay, a werewolf roleplay, and "the wild", where pretty much anything goes. You can be any animal, there is no leader, no rules. (Except for the ones dealing with respect. No power playing and such. Fights are allowed, but you must be fair about them.) You may also roleplay in the Clearing, which has no plot. It's basically just playing out your everyday pack life. (It isn't continued, for each new day a new RP is to be started...hence the meaning of "live".)

***Events: We hold special events from time to time. We've had scavenger hunts, a crossword puzzle, Secret Santa (for Christmas- we'll be doing it again this year), a costume contest (Halloween), etc. There are prizes for winning these events, such as being titled Member of the Month, receiving a customized avatar, and sometimes you'll even get your rank boosted if you show a lot of participation.
